Would You Like Fries With That?
April 1, 2008This was an April Fools day joke, so don’t take it seriously, I did it purely for laughs.
My economics teacher always told me to find a job you can live with. My plan was to become a District Attorney and makes some cash off of the sales of my book, but I’ve been thinking lately…maybe I’m not cut out to be a writer. I’ve been trying to figure out how to write ONE BOOK since I was in the sixth grade! I’m no psychologist, but maybe I have some kind of unhealthy psychosis. But anyway you look at it, it’s unhealthy, and I don’t see it improving the quality of my life in any way. That’s why I’ve decided to come to a very drastic decision…I’m going to become a fry cook. Every time I go to a certain fast food restaurant, I usually think that I wouldn’t want to do that, being in a hot kitchen all day, taking orders from nasty people with kids screaming their heads off. But lately I see them in a different light….they’re getting paid! At least at a fast food joint you get a steady paycheck. I often think to myself, ”:will my book even get published? Maybve no one will like it. My style is too archaic, no one will read it. And the title sounds like some boring book about the events leading up to the Great Chicago Fire.” But one thing is certain, people will always want to eat fast food, no matter how likely it is to kill them. Besides, I’ve spent so much time formulating the material for my book, I think I’m losing touch with reality. I often find myself introducing myself as the main character, and I don’t need to be a shrink to know that’s not good. Wish me luck friends, family and fellow Loyals, I’m off to a more certain future.
